The adjacent Gülhane Park was once Portion of the palace grounds but is now a lovely public park, lined with towering plane trees where a colony of grey herons tends to make their nests. The Alay Kö?kü (Parade Kiosk) near the park’s southern entrance, which overlooks the road exterior, was where the sultan reviewed processions of his troops. P
